Fall Classes Starting September 8, 2016

In the heat and humidity of August on the Gulf Coast, it doesn’t feel like Fall will ever arrive, but “FALL” is almost here. My Fall quilting class will soon begin and it is time to get ready to “Make A Quilt”!

Classes begin September 8th at Hobby Lobby in Daphne, Alabama.

Beginners are those who have never made a quilt but know how to thread their machine and sew a stitch (stitches do not have to be straight- ha!).
The beginner class will make a simple four patch quilt with sashing and a border. The class will include how to stitch 1/4″ seams, make blocks, add sashing and a border then layer, quilt, and bind your project for a completed lap quilt. The beginner class will start at 9:15AM every Thursday starting 9/8.  Photo from first class 2014, Four Patch pattern by Mary Lawrence.

The intermediate class will make a Christmas Tree Lap Quilt, inspired by the “Little Evergreen” wall hanging below, designed by Cindi Rang and featured in American Patchwork and Quilting 2015.  This class will include traditional piecing, applique’ and experimenting with advanced quilt techniques as we get ready for Christmas! This class will begin at 10:15AM every Thursday starting 9/8.
